Providence was able to show me the “American Life” (or at least what I think it is from the movies) that New York wasn’t able to give me. The big apple was a brewing pot of different people that’s why there were different cultures.
At the start I wasn’t looking forward to go here because I didn’t know what to expect. But my short and sweet stay in Providence will always be memorable because of the people who welcomed me and shared the memories with me. Towards the end of the trip, I didn’t want to leave.
The sites and landmarks will be pretty, but to experience them with people you love is different – the moments spent on those places will truly matter more. I’ve always known Providence more than most and associated it a lot to USA when I was a kid because our closest family relatives reside here. Nothing much to share with you through words but here’s a photo journal of my trip with my family Lola Baby, Uncle Steve, Ate Sheila and her husband Dan. They made Providence my home.
Lola Baby is a big Patriots fan so we watched them practice at the Gilette stadium.
Dinner with everyone on my first night!
Grapes just growing at their backyard.
Ate Sheila and Trudy touring us around their new home!
Aaaah home cooked meal! Ate Sheila’s husband, Dan, is a chef!
They brought me to go sailing at Newport!
And I always thought I’d only see streets like this in Disneyland.
This coffee shop was once a bank. They decided to leave the vault.
A highlight of my trip – having lunch at The Lawn at Castle Hill!
The view was breathless and the food amazing!
Brown University.
Preparing to go home.
Last night at Loie Fuller. The restaurant’s interior was filled with detailed paintings.
My last breakfast. Berries with whip cream and bacon.
An awesome, awesome lady you are Lola Baby! Thank you for all the memories.
