One of my favorite parks to date! We spent more than half a day just going around the area and I wish we could’ve stayed a little more.
Tachikawa is a good thirty minute ride from Central Tokyo, but definitely worth it. This is our second trip to Tokyo so we were a little more adventurous. I suggest you go to Studio Ghibli if you plan to go here since it is just a few minutes away. If you go here at the right time during fall (late November), you will see the beautiful bright yellow Gingko Trees. Definitely one of the best places to go to if you want to experience Japan’s autumn foliage.
